Westside Food Pantry Our second and final distribution of the month came early this year. We did see growth in our numbers in January, as well as a rise in Covid19 infections in our neighborhood. In both cases, we were able to maintain our operations with care and efficiently. Here are some numbers for the month of January: $19,250 in vouchers distributed. We served 381 neighbors--288 adults and 93 children from 215 households. We registered 9 new households made up of 18 people. These numbers represent about an 8% increase over this time last year. I appeared before the Southwest Harbor Select Committee and Budget Committee on Monday, January 11th by Zoom. As usual, I received a good reception and appreciation for our work. Approximately 56% of our vouchers go to Southwest Harbor residents. I am fairly certain that we will be included in the Town Budget for 2021-22.
