The Maryland State Women's Touring Choir will be at Southwest Harbor Congregational Church (29 High Rd.) on Sunday evening May 31st at 7:30. The choir sings both sacred and secular music. Don't miss this opportunity to listen to them and enjoy some good Christian fellowship as well. Admission is free. A Love offering will be taken.

 

Haitian Art Show: June 6-10, 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Redfield Artisans Gallery, Northeast Harbor. The show, sponsored by St. Mary & St. Jude Episcopal Church, will highlight Haitian artists and help to raise money for the partnerships and mission projects of the parish.  An opening reception will be held on Friday, June 5 from 5pm-7pm. There will be pieces available for purchase as well as the opportunity to see the works of the artists.  

Clean Up at St. Andrew’s: Saturday, 8:30 a.m. Bring your cleaning supplies and help get it spruced up for worship on the first Sunday in June.

 

Pre-General Convention Gatherings around the Diocese: As July approaches and Mainers gear up for the 76th General Convention of The Episcopal Church in Anaheim, California, the Maine deputation will hold a number of regional conversations with Maine Episcopalians.  Topics covered will include issues, legislation and other topics to be taken up at General Convention and the implications for the Episcopal Church in Maine and with wider Anglican Communion.  All are welcome.

Clarinetist Timothy Carter and Pianist Ya Lin Chi to present “MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND SPECIAL: OUR FAVORITE CLARINET MASTERPIECES”. An evening showcasing some of the greatest works from the classical clarinet’s solo literature. Sonata opus 120 No. 1 in f minor by Johannes Brahms, Gran Duo Concertante opus 48 by Carl Maria von Weber, Premiere Rhapsodie by Claude Debussy, Concerto in A Major, K. 622 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  Location: St. Andrew & St. John Episcopal Church,                         315 Main Street, Southwest Harbor, Sunday, May 24th @ 7:30 pm.  Admission is free.  Donations will benefit The St. Andrew & St. John music fund and The Westside Food Pantry, an Outreach Ministry of St. Andrew & St. John Episcopal Church.

Nigel Mumford, Director Oratory of Christ the Healer, Greenwich, NY on Friday, June 12, 7-9 pm and Saturday, June 13, 9 am-3 pm.  Healing Service begins 3 pm Saturday.
