End of Life Planning Workshop facilitated by the Rev. Carolyn Metzler, an Episcopal priest serving a small community in Winn, and the Hospice and hospital chaplain in the Lincoln area.  She began leading these events when she noticed how few people had any conversation with their families about their choices at the time of their death, and how much more difficult that silence made everything.  She encourages people to have these discussions with their families and to do the paperwork that needs to be done while people are still healthy.  The first part of the workshop will be held Saturday, January 31st, 2009 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at St. Saviour's.  The second part will be the next day, Sunday February 1, following the 10 AM service of worship at which Rev. Metzler will preach.  People are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions if at all possible.  There is no charge for this event, but a good-will donation will be taken to cover printing costs.  Everyone is welcome, regardless of faith affiliation. Light refreshments will be served (soup on Sunday) and pre-registration is encouraged to enable us to plan appropriately. To pre-register please contact Muffet in the St. Saviour’s office at 288-4215 or stsaviour@roadrunner.com.  For more information, contact Gail Leiser at 288-9083 or gail.leiser@gmail.com
