Reflections:

Resurrection Moment    -   Rita Redfield
It is the Saturday before Easter, an early morning chill is in the air and the sun is just beginning to peek its way through the tree branches.  I think about yesterday, Good Friday, when I awoke to the beauty of snow on the ground and sparkling on the branches. The beauty of the snow usually brings a peacefulness and calm to my mind, but on Friday I was ill at ease with thoughts of The Passion story and what Easter would mean to me this year as the observance would be so different from many other years.

On this day, Saturday, I am still pondering in a place between death and resurrection. I open the front door to breathe the fresh morning air and glance at the gravel at my entryway expecting to see it still snow covered as it was yesterday. I step out and look at the gravel to see two beautiful pansies in full bloom, in their vibrant Easter colors of purple and yellow. How is this possible? How is Easter possible?

In this time of uncertainty may each of us find our life to be "new every morning", and full of pansies.

From the Diocese of Maine{Diocese of Maine}

As a Parish of the Diocese of Maine, we are part of a church family that extends from Kittery to Fort Kent, and connects us to the rest of the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion.  We share ministry with our Bishop and with every worshiping community.
If you are not subscribed to the Diocesan twice monthly email newsletter, the DioLog, please click [here] to subscribe.  If you are subscribed, don't forget to open it and read it every time!  There is a lot going on in every corner of the Diocese, and you wouldn't want to miss anything.

A diocese-wide team of clergy and lay leaders are compiling a full service for Sunday, April 26, including music and a sermon from Bishop Brown.
This service will be available to you in two ways:

1. You will be sent a downloadable file on Saturday, April 25.

2. We will "premiere" the video on Facebook on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.

MDI+ Episcopal Churches:
