At St. John's
Starting October 1 we will move to one Sunday service at 9:00 am at St. John's in Southwest Harbor. On that day we will have a parish wide forum following the service about our future beyond this one year partnership with Church of our Father and St. Saviour's. We'd like to get your feedback and hear your thoughts and ideas, hopes and dreams for a sustainable and creative future for St. Andrew & St. John, and the Episcopal churches on MDI. Please join us!
Meditation on Tuesdays at 4:00 at St. John's. Please join us for 30 minutes of shared silence and "prayer of the heart," an ancient meditative practice of the Christian tradition. All are welcome! We meditate sitting on chairs, though if you prefer to sit on the floor, feel free to bring a mat or cushion. If you are new to meditation, have questions or concerns, or would like more information, please contact Mother Kathleen.
Westside Food Pantry Recital Series--Saturday, October 7 at 6:30--the Kelley Farm band composed of Rick Barter, Amy Kurman and Beth Herrick on vocals and ukuleles, Jim Vekasi on vocals and octave mandolin and Tom Karnofsky on bass perform for our food pantry. Their music will feature multi-part harmonies, and string improvisation on American folk, jazz and popular songs. Suggested donation-$10--ALL proceeds go to our food pantry.
