St. Saviour:
The Folk Opera Natural Causes Killed Victor is part of St. Saviour’s outreach to the people of our island and our nation. They hope to raise thousands of dollars for families on our island who cannot afford food and fuel. The opera attempts to turn dead end American prisons into farms and trade schools. Performances: October 26 and 27 at 8:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased at The Maine Seacoast Mission. Rehearsals: Sunday afternoons through October 21. Producer: Ron Goldberg. Community Events
The MDI Hospital Auxiliary will hold their annual June Bake Sale on Monday, September 24 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in front of The First on
Southwest Harbor Library Walkathon is set for Sunday, October 21st beginning at 1:00. In past years the Food Pantry volunteers have formed a team of walkers and we're hoping you will do the same this year. We hope to raise $6,000.00 for the Library at the same time supporting healthy exercise along a beautiful route in SW Harbor. Packets, including sponsor forms, may be picked up at the Library.

Keep in your prayers this week: Paul, Brenda Merritt, Bob Jackson, Julie Russell, Jenny, Wanda Talmidge, Richard Shepherd, Drayton Grant, Emmet and Betty Whittlesey, and Joel Sipes. Pray for the safe return of Adam Holt and Susan Falt, who are among our armed forces serving overseas, and their families.

Gracious God, we offer thanks for our parish, for your inspiration, and for the many generous open hearts whose donations will bring accessibility to all at St. John’s . Guide us all as the planned expansion of the facilities comes to reality. We thank you for the various trades and skills of those who work on the addition. Protect and guide them as they labor, that they may take pride in their accomplishments. Inspire us to share faithfully the love that you have revealed to us through the ministry and sacrifice of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
