Community Events

The MDI Hospital Auxiliary will hold their annual June Bake Sale on Monday, September 24 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in front of The First on Main Street. Many luncheon items will be available along with pies, cookies and all the special things that a bake sale brings! Baked goods and monetary donations are welcomed! The Auxiliary has recently pledged $50,000 to the new Women’s Health Center and appreciates the support of our community! Contact Mary Grindle at 288-2392 or Brenda Sprague at 288-5082, ext. 1198 to see how you can help!

Southwest Harbor Library Walkathon is set for Sunday, October 21st beginning at 1:00.  In past years the Food Pantry volunteers have formed a team of walkers and we're hoping you will do the same this year. We hope to raise $6,000.00 for the Library at the same time supporting healthy exercise along a beautiful route in SW Harbor. Packets, including sponsor forms, may be picked up at the Library.

Prayer for the Community of St. Andrew & St. John

Gracious God, we offer thanks for our parish, for your inspiration, and for the many generous open hearts whose donations will bring accessibility to all at St. John’s. Guide us all as the planned expansion of the facilities comes to reality. We thank you for the various trades and skills of those who work on the addition. Protect and guide them as they labor, that they may take pride in their accomplishments. Inspire us to share faithfully the love that you have revealed to us through the ministry and sacrifice of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
