REMEMBER TIME CHANGE THIS SUNDAY

Westside Food Pantry will open for the season on Sunday, November 1st from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Harbor House.

All Saints Day Performance. Again this fall the St. Saviour’s Choir will be giving a special performance in honor of All Saints Day on November 1st at 3 pm.  The major work for the program is Schubert’s Mass in G Major, which will be accompanied by a string ensemble and organ.  This is one of Schubert’s vocal gems, with beautiful melodies and harmony.  This concert offers all of us a meaningful opportunity to remember our loved ones who have gone before us. We hope you will plan to attend this musical afternoon and invite a friend or neighbor to come with you.

Baked Bean Supper – Saturday, November 7th, 5:30-7:00 p.m., St. John’s Undercroft. Donation is $8/person (children under 5 free). The menu includes beans, hotdogs, sausage, bread, Cole slaw, drinks and pie. Proceeds will benefit Westside Food Pantry.

Life-Giving Hospice: Rose Mary Dougherty (author, teacher, senior fellow at the Shalem Institute) will give a free evening talk on “Being with the Dying: A Life Changing Experience” on Monday, November 9th, 6:30-8:00. Both events take place at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ellsworth, 121 Bucksport Road. For registration and further info, please contact Hospice of Hancock County, 667-2531.
