Hello,
I am writing to ask if there might be someone in your congregation that you feel would be glad to help plan our 2009 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity service. The date for the service next year will be January 18. A snow date would probably be January 25.  I know it is Annual Meeting season for many churches, including Somesville.
We will be in need of 2 or 3 new planning committee members.  Bill Wood of St.Jude &St.Mary has moved back into retirement down the coast.
Our service this time will possibly be in Manset or Tremont, and church representatives from this area (St.Peters, St.Andrews and Tremont Congregational) would be appreciated.
We will meet Tuesday September 23, 7:00, meeting place to be determined.  We do not meet every week, probably 2-3 times a month.
Please let me know this week if you have a representative from your congregation.

Thank you,
Thayer W. Fanazick

Several times when the Acadia Region Coalition of Churches met, interest was expressed in doing some youth activities together.  St. Andrew Lutheran will host a planning session for youth and adults on Wednesday, October 8, from 6 – 8 PM.  There will be a light supper, & some activities & planning time to discuss what we together (whichever congregations are represented) would like to do.  Some possibilities might be lock-ins, concerts, skating, Souperbowl Sunday activities, etc.  If you are in 6-12 grade, or the parent of the same, or a congregation member interested in youth ministry, please put this date on your calendar.  This is for youth and adults – can't get there exactly at 6? –come when you can – and eat while we talk.  FMI 667-7641 (St. Andrew is in Ellsworth across fromJordan's Snack – at the corner of Rts 1 & 184.)
