On Shrove Tuesday, February 25, the men's group of Church of Our Father in Hulls Cove, will put on a fabulous Pancake Supper starting at 4:30! Everyone is welcome! Start off Lent with pancakes and fellowship.
Ash Wednesday Services with Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes will be held at noon at St. John the Divine and St. Saviour's Parish; 8:00 a.m. at Church of Our Father; 5:00 p.m. at St. Mary & St. Jude. The Rev. Regina Christianson will be the celebrant at St. John's in Southwest Harbor.
During Lent, there will be a 9:00 A.M. Book Study on Sundays in the Undercroft, beginning March 1. Copies of the book, Entering the Passion of Jesus: A Beginner's Guide to Holy Week, by Amy-Jill Levine, professor, and biblical scholar are available in the office for $8.50.
The first Prayer and Supper around the Island will be held on Wednesday, March 4 at Church of Our Father in Hulls Cove. This is an opportunity to gather with brothers and sisters from all our island Episcopal churches for a quiet evening prayer service followed by a simple soup and bread supper starting at 5:30 p.m.
