At St. John's Meditation on Tuesdays at 4:00 at St. John's. Please join us for 30 minutes of shared silence and "prayer of the heart," an ancient meditative practice of the Christian tradition. All are welcome! We meditate sitting on chairs, though if you prefer to sit on the floor, feel free to bring a mat or cushion. Spring Training, Saturday, April 27, 9:30-3:30 at South Parish Congregational Church, Augusta. For the fourth year, the diocese will offer a free day of 22 new workshops for clergy and lay people to choose from. This year, our theme is The Way of Love. We will begin our day with a coffee hour, followed by three sessions of workshops with breaks for a lunch, worship and an address from Bishop Steve. This is a great opportunity to see old friends and make new connections with folks from all around the diocese. Registration is required by Easter. (visit episcopalmaine.ord/spring-training)
| Saying Farewell to the Lanes | | Please register now to attend Bishop Steve's and Gretchen's Farewell Gatherings May 11th in Orono, and May 17-18th in Portland:
The Farewell Gathering North will be held Saturday, May 11th at the Black Bear Inn and Conference Center in Orono, with a Holy Eucharist beginning at 2p.m. A Farewell Reception, with music and a brief program will follow.
All are welcome to attend the Holy Eucharist. It is a free event but registration in advance is required. As well, advance purchase tickets at $20 each are required to attend the Farewell Reception following the service. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

(Special note to those planning to attend: please allow extra travel time due to the UMaine/Orono graduation that same day.)
The Farewell Gathering South will begin Friday evening, May 17th at 5 p.m. at the Westin Portland Harborview Hotel and will include a Farewell Reception with music and a brief program.
Tickets ($20 each) purchased in advance are required, and will not be sold at the door.
The Farewell Gathering South will continue with a Festive Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18th at St. Luke's Cathedral, followed by hospitality and the unveiling of the Bishop's official portrait.
This gathering is free and open to all, however advance registration is required.

Community: MDI Racial Equity Working Group is holding the second 2-day Workshop led by the Racial Equity Institute from Lewiston, Maine. The workshop explores the history of institutional and systemic racism, and will be held in Northeast Harbor, at the Parish House, MONDAY AND TUESDAY, MAY 13 AND 14, 2019. Registration is $250.00, which includes lunch each day. The Alcyon Center is a place of contemplation and peace, offering a variety of programs including quiet days, a gathering of women to discuss various topics through poetry, personal experiences (Soul Friends), a monthly quiet day and a weekly study of the Gospel for the coming Sunday.
