Many people find that what is heard in poetry and music sinks deeper into the soul than does ordinary prose. And so it is to the beautiful seasonal hymns that the Reverend Barbara Cawthorne Crafton turns for inspiration for daily meditations on faith, prayer, forgiveness, and healing during Advent and Christmas. All four Episcopal Parishes will be reading this book, and we'll be joining in worship and study at 4:30 on Wednesdays:  December 6 at Church of our Father; December 13 at St. John's; and December 20 at St. Saviour's. The books is available from Amazon.com for $10.   Meditation on Tuesdays at 4:00 at St. John's. Please join us for 30 minutes of shared silence and "prayer of the heart," an ancient meditative practice of the Christian tradition. All are welcome! We meditate sitting on chairs, though if you prefer to sit on the floor, feel free to bring a mat or cushion. If you are new to meditation, have questions or concerns, or would like more information, please contact Mother Kathleen.
