Contact-Susan Buell- 244-8061 Backpacks, etc.: The Pemetic/Tremont School Backpack Program has restarted with 21 children this Fall. The Westside Food Pantry supports the purchase of nonperishable goods and some members of St. John's Church donate money to cover the cost of fresh fruits and vegetables each week. We are asking the four area Churches to help us with specific backpack items in order to defray some of the cost to the Pantry. St. John's is slated for boxes of soft granola type snack bars. We also stock a box in the back pew with donated staples such as canned meat or fish, peanut butter, rice, beans, pasta, sauce, mac & cheese, cereals, soups, juice, fruit and veggies. You might keep this in mind as you shop. Every bit helps. All items may be left in the undercroft when the office is open or brought to Church on Sundays. | | From the Diocese of Maine As a Parish of the Diocese of Maine, we are part of a church family that extends from Kittery to Fort Kent, and connects us to the rest of the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion.
