St. John's Environment Improvement needs your financial support.  We need to raise $1000.  Please donate whatever you can to care for our beautiful property.  Your suggestions are welcome.  Floy Ervin, 244-4195; fervin@roadrunner.com

Meditation on Tuesdays at 4:00 at St. John's. Please join us for 30 minutes of shared silence and "prayer of the heart," an ancient meditative practice of the Christian tradition. All are welcome! We meditate sitting on chairs, though if you prefer to sit on the floor, feel free to bring a mat or cushion. If you are new to meditation, have questions or concerns, or would like more information, please contact Mother Kathleen.

The Annual Yard Sale at St. Andrew's is this Friday and Saturday, June 9 and 10. Thanks to Barbara Campbell and Jayne Ashworth for all their hard work organizing this event. And thanks to all the others who will help this weekend and who donated their items to be sold.

From the Diocese of Maine{Diocese of Maine}

As a Parish of the Diocese of Maine, we are part of a church family that extends from Kittery to Fort Kent, and connects us to the rest of the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion.  We share ministry with our Bishop and with every worshipping community.
If you are not subscribed to the Diocesan twice monthly email newsletter, the DioLog, please click [here] to subscribe.  If you are subscribed, don't forget to open it and read it every time!  There is a lot going on in every corner of the Diocese, and you wouldn't want to miss anything!

at St. Saviour:

Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Wednesdays at noon in the Chapel, in a simple, non-musical service.  We plan to commemorate saints and seasons using the church's published calendar, as well as focusing on healing for ourselves and for the world.

Caregivers' Support Group meets in the Rectory Library from 1:15 to 2:45 pm (following the Noon Eucharist) the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Open to the entire community!

at St. John and St. Saviour:

PDFs of Mother Kathleen's sermons and video recordings of Fr. Tim's sermons are now available on St. Saviour's website (www.StSaviours.me); Fr. Tim's videos are also available at St. John's website at (www.StAndrewStJohn.blogspot.com)

Confidential Prayer Chain: Unlike our published prayer lists, prayer requests that come into the Prayer Chain remain private to the prayer chain itself, which will pray devotedly for one week unless an updated request is made. If you'd like to know more about this or our Pastoral Care Team, please contact our office administrators or Mother Kathleen.

Church of Our Father:

Men's Group Dinner, June 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Fr. John Allison will be the speaker.

The Waste Not Want Not Thrift Shop Opens this month: The ECW is now accepting good clean clothing for the shop. We are also in need of linens, bedding, CDs, books, jewelry, and glassware for the "Curious Corner". NO Electronics please.

.

St. Mary and St. Jude:

On Sunday, June 25, we will kick off the summer with one combined worship service, 10:00 at St. Jude's. We will be celebrating the completion of our renovations there, conduct a short and quick Annual Meeting part II, and celebrate some more with a festive coffee hour. This is the only time when our two churches worship together.

Prayer Shawl Ministry, Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.

Contemplative Prayer Group: Wednesdays at 4:30, join Father John in exploring the practice of Christian meditation and contemplative prayer. Meetings will take place in St. Mary's Chapel and will include instruction and practice in this ancient form of prayer.

In Our Community:

This summer (July 21-23) the Spiritual Life and Learning Center is pleased to be sponsoring a program at Schoodic Institute in Winter Harbor, titled Your Spirit - Your World: Connecting heart, earth and soul. This year's conference has been designed to help participants tap into their inherent divine energy and interconnectedness in order to become spiritual activists in their daily lives.  It features Mirabai Starr (fresh from her work with Fr. Richard Rohr at the Conspire Conference) and five other presenters/workshop leaders whose goal is to offer participants tools to be more effective in reconnecting their spiritual life to the world in which they live each day. For information or to register, go to www.downeastspiritual.org or call 207-374-5200.

Westside Food Pantry Recital:
For the third year, the ACADIA TRAD SCHOOL teams with us for the benefit of our food pantry.  Fiddlers Mari Black, Sean Heely, and Liz and Dan Faiella, perform on Thursday, June 29th, 4:00-6:00.  Tickets may be purchased through the TRAD SCHOOL email: tickets@acadiatradschool.com.  At the time of the performance, if seats are available, tickets may be purchased at the door.

Keep in your prayers this week: Kenny Joyce, Barbara Loveland, Dale McMullan, David Short, Jean Martinez, Marcia Murphy, Mary K. Parkman, Anna Welles, Joan Preble, Andrea Horner, Robert Dudley, Nicole Burnett, Steve Bell, Karen Pike, Sherry Warner, Malcolm Hughes, Jack Weisner, John Cronin, Bob Theriault, Lydia Thayer, George Swanson and Sharon Dayana Salazar, our sponsored child in Costa Rica.
