Wednesday Explorers10:00 to 11:30 in the St. John’s Common Room, facilitated by Vesta Kowalski. There’s a different topic each week, so anyone is welcome to come once, occasionally, or regularly. Bring your friends. Upcoming topics:

June 18 – Where do sermons come from? We’ll talk about how preachers generate ideas for sermon themes from the weekly lectionary, and try our hands at developing our own ideas for sermons from lessons scheduled for the next several weeks.

June 25 Looking forward – then and now. The early Christians faced a number of issues as they discovered they needed to move into the future without Jesus’ physical presence. Creating a “church” was the result, not the goal. We’ll talk about the issues the early Christians faced, and whether their answers can help us address the issues we face as a church in a changing world
