Menu: baked beans, plus vegetarian baked beans, assorted meats, coleslaw, cornbread and dinner rolls, and plenty of delicious desserts including homemade pies.
Mahjong classes, taught by Barbara Campbell, will be offered at
Raffle--Seal Cove artist, Judy Taylor has donated a signed, original watercolor painting titled "View from
St. Saviour’s
Seasonal Worker Evening Prayer service with songs of praise continue at 7:00 p.m. on Sundays, October 20. All are welcome.
A Service of Evensong will be offered on November 3, All Saints Day, at 4:00 followed by a wine and cheese reception. All the choral music will be by living composers as a way of making this ancient and solemn liturgy relevant for us today.
Youth & Family Ministry Event: Calling all pumpkin carvers! Bring yourself or your family and come and join us for a night of pumpkin carving, cauldron chili, hot dogs, cornbread and other ghoulish treats on Sunday, October 20th, 4 p.m. No pumpkin? No problem! We’ve got you covered, just bring along your special carving tools! Let us know you are coming--288-4849.
Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Wednesday mornings at 8:00 followed by a light breakfast.
Community Events
Joyful Noise is starting up again for its second season of building community through music here on MDI. It's a non-auditioned, all-comer choir that meets four times a month in various locations around MDI. Joyful Noise: Community Singing on MDI is singing in harmony for experienced and novice singers alike. You don't have to read music, either. We'll explore music from a wide variety of cultural traditions, and all songs will be taught in the oral tradition. . Contact joyfulnoiseonmdi@gmail.com or 244-0446 for more information.
