Co-sponsored by St. John’s Episcopal Church, ROOTs, and the Sierra Club. As a society we faced the twin challenges of addressing unprecedented environmental problems (climate change, species extinction, air & water pollution) and coping with extremely uncertain financial times. Our purpose is to provide usable and up-to-date information to local residents and island visitors that will enable them to reduce their consumption of resources, increase their understanding of energy saving technology and save money. Experts on appropriate topics will be invited to speak and lead discussions on how to implement the techniques and ideas presented. Monthly meetings will start on Wednesday, April 22nd, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Daryl DeJoy from Penopscot Solar will be the first speaker on Energy Conservation & Home Solar Power.
