As a way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his ordination as a deacon in the Episcopal Church – George Swanson is inviting people of every faith community or none to meet with him to discuss the documents that describe Christian worship in the first 50 years -- from about the year 50 to 80 C.E. They'll meet at the Somesville Church Parish House on Mondays, June 16, 23, and 30. The first meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. June 23 and 30 may start earlier if the group decides to have food at an "Agape Meal." After considering written descriptions and paintings they will attempt to worship God in ways that they might have done in the first two or three generations of the Christian family.
The Rev. Cynthia Bourgeault, Ph.D. will be offering a day of teaching, including a talk entitled “The Divine Exchange,” at St. Andrew by-the-Sea on Friday, June 27th, from 10:00 to 3:00.
