Pysanky (Ukrainian Colored Eggs): The ancient art of Pysanky predates Christianity, but we’ll ignore that and have a grand time leaning how to make wax-resist eggs in the undercroft of St. John’s Church on Saturday, March 20th. The workshop led by Ellen Gilmore, can accommodate about 10 people, and will run from 9:30am to noon. If there is sufficient interest, she will consider a second session on Sunday, March 21st, in the afternoon. You don’t need any special skills, although a steady hand helps! Because this craft involves lighted candles, raw eggs, and requires some patience, it is not well suited to children. Cost for the workshop is $15, with all proceeds going to the church. All materials are provided Please call or e-mail Ellen to sign up: 244-7338 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Easter Flowers: If you would like to make an offering for Easter flowers in memory of, in honor of, or in support of someone, please write the information on the clipboard available at St. John or contact Susan Buell or Ginny Agar. Your donation may be given to Ginny or Susan, or sent to the church office.
The church office will be closed until March 18th, when Michele will return from Hawaii, thank heavens. If you have questions or need assistance please call Ted Fletcher (244-3115) or Ann Cox Halkett (288-5832).
