Community Events

POPORTUNITY! No, that's not a typo but an opportunity to help serving popovers at the Common Good Cafe at Seawall.  People are needed every morning between 7:30 and 11:30 to greet, keep the coffee flowing, bring out the fresh popovers, clean the tables and just generally help out. Payment for the breakfast is by donation and the money raised pays for the winter soup kitchen meals in our communities. Can you give a few hours this summer? It's fun; the time goes fast and you meet an interesting cross section of visitors to Acadia.

Speak to Bunny or Sandy Watts (244-3699) for more details.

Why Do You Believe That? A Faith Conversation: Bible Study for Women. How confident do you feel in talking about matters of faith? Do you wish you could express your beliefs with more effectiveness? Join us in a practical 4 week session study to gain understanding and skill in sharing Jesus effectively with others and in better understanding your own faith. Answer your doubts. Build your confidence. Start changing lives. The learning begins on Tuesday, July 9 (16, 23, 30) at 7:00PM at Southwest Harbor Congregational Church, 29 High Road
