Let there be soup: Master Chef Bill Morrison, has started a free Soup Kitchen in Southwest Harbor using natural whole foods; mostly whole grains, beans, and vegetables. You can make contributions of raw food (at 12 Maple Lane) and funds (at Sargasso). Soup will be available (at Maple Lane) in quart containers from noon on Wednesdays, for as long as it lasts. The target population is older folks who have trouble getting out to shop for fresh ingredients, or cooking, or who could use the extra nutrition; as well as folks of any age going through economic hard times. Questions: call Bill (669-2622) or Mary McLaud at the Salon (244-4034).
If you need assistance next week, please call Fr. Tardiff at 244-4037 or Ted Fletcher at 244-3115.
