Sunday forums

Dear Parish Family and Friends,

This Sunday, 1/6, is the Feast of the Epiphany—the coming of the Magi  to the baby Jesus and the official end of the Advent/Christmas season. We'll meet again before the 10am service at about 9am, to wrap up our Advent study, Journeying the Way of Love, by bringing our "rule of life" and its practices forward into the Epiphany season and New Year.

Next Sunday, 1/13, we celebrate the Baptism of our Lord and renew our baptismal vows. Fr. Tim will be with you that day, and will lead a forum/conversation before the service about baptism, the primary Christian sacrament and initiation into the death and life of Christ. So please join him, and bring your questions, memories, wonderings, and reflections about Jesus' baptism, your own, and our baptismal life together.

A blessed and happy New Year to all, and see you this Sunday!

In God's light,
Mother Kathleen+

Epiphany: from the Greek meaning to bring to light, to cause to appear, to show; a manifestation especially of a divine being, a sudden perception of the essential nature or meaning of something; an intuitive grasp of reality.
