Meditation on Thursdays at 4:00 at St. John’s. Please join us for 30 minutes of shared silence and “prayer of the heart,” an ancient meditative practice of the Christian tradition. All are welcome! We meditate sitting on chairs, though if you prefer to sit on the floor, feel free to bring a mat or cushion. If you are new to meditation, have questions or concerns, or would like more information, please contact Mother Kathleen.

Free Community Lasagna Supper with ice cream sundaes for dessert! Sponsored by The Common Good Community and Parish of St. Andrew & St. John on Friday, November 4 at 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s Church, 315 Main Street, Southwest Harbor, (in front of Pemetic School). Come and enjoy the food and company! Questions?  244-3229.

If you would like to help, call Karen Craig, 244-5267; we need salads, breads, and vegetables to accompany the lasagna.

St. John and St. Saviour:

Video recordings of Fr. Tim’s sermons are now available at  – the most recent posted on the home page, and prior Sundays archived under “Sermon videos online” in the archive listing on the left.  If you have to miss a Sunday, if you are away for the season, or if you just want to listen again to try to figure out what he was talking about, this is a great way to stay in touch.  You can also find the sermons Tim+ preaches at St. Saviour at

Confidential Prayer Chain: Unlike our published prayer lists, prayer requests that come into the Prayer Chain remain private to the prayer chain itself, which will pray devotedly for one week unless an updated request is made. If you’d like to know more about this or our Pastoral Care Team, please contact our office administrators or Mother Kathleen.

St. Saviour:

Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Wednesdays at noon in the Chapel, in a simple, non-musical service.  We plan to commemorate saints and seasons using the church’s published calendar, as well as focusing on healing for ourselves and for the world.

All Hallows Eve Service of prayer and music, Sunday, October 30, at 4:30 p.m.

Church of Our Father:

Movie and Popcorn Nights in October. Mother Sue is hosting a movie (with discussion) each Thursday evening at 6:00. October 20 – The Bucket List; October 27 – Fireproof. Bring a cushion for your chair and any other snacks you would like to share.

St. Mary & St. Jude:

Prayer Shawl Ministry, Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.
