We discuss a different topic each week, chosen by the group. Anyone is welcome to come once, occasionally, or regularly; friends are welcome, too.  During Lent, we will be discussing the various parts of the Lord’s Prayer:

March 4 – “Give us today our daily bread.”

March 11 – “Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.”

March 18 – “Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.”

Contemplative Prayer Group meets for one hour at noon on Fridays to pray together in silence and to share resources and experiences from their prayer journeys. The hour will begin with gathering in silence, then the leader will share a resource or an insight about contemplative prayer, then there will be a time of silent prayer, and finally a short time to share our thoughts and experiences in group discussion. Everyone is invited to come to this

group.

Friday, February 27th FREE Movie and BYOD night at St. Saviour’s Parish. We will be showing Man of the Year starring Robin Williams. In the film, Williams portrays Tom Dobbs, the host of a comedy/political talk show, based loosely on the real-life persona of Jon Stewart. With an offhand remark, he prompts 4 million people to e-mail their support; then he decides to campaign for President. Bring your dinner or a snack, a cushion or comfy chair if you like, and join friends and neighbors for great fun and fellowship!
