Sunday, February 15th: Eucharist at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.

 

Lectionary Readings:  Psalm 50:1-6; 2 Kings 2:1-12; 2 Corinthians 4:3-6; Mark 9:2-9

 

Sunday School: Sundays during the 10:00 service on Sunday in the undercroft, with the Godly Play lessons.

Sunday Forums – 9:00 a.m. in the Undercroft.

February 22: Linda Robinson, Reflections on Humanitarian Mission to the Congo

March 1: Ken Cochrane, Margot Haertel, Patsy Fogarty, Scoring the Goals: How Episcopal Relief and Development Challenges Millennium Development

 

Meetings this week:

Vestry – Thursday, February 19th, 6:00 p.m.

Vestry Retreat – Saturday, February 21st at Seacoast Mission, 8:30 a.m. – noon.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper: Tuesday, February 24th. Jim Vekasi and friends will provide music at 5:30 p.m.; pancakes and sausage will be served beginning at 6:00. Sign up Sunday or call the church office (244-3229).

 

Ash Wednesday: February 25th, Holy Eucharist at 9:30 a.m., Imposition of Ashes at 6:00 p.m.

 

Bible Study: Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. during Lent.

 

Noonday Prayer and Organ Music: Fridays during Lent (starting February 27th).

 

The next Three-Day Cursillo Weekend in Maine will be April 16 to 19 at the Sky-Hi Conference Center in Topsham. Cursillo is “a short course in Christian living.”  Committed members of the Cursillo Community sponsor others who are seeking a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and have the potential to grow from the weekend experience.  To be matched with a sponsor contact your priest.  For more information call or email:  Jane Johnson 729-7940 jmj@suscom-maine.net or the Rev. American Red CrossWhen is the last time you donated blood? The American Red Cross needs YOU! 300 units of blood need to be collected every weekday throughout the state of Maine to provide 95% of the blood required in all 39 Maine hospitals. You can make a huge difference by donating blood throughout the year. A Blood Drive is scheduled for February 24, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM, at VFW Post 109 in Ellsworth.
