Epiphany Pageant: Sunday, January 4^th at 10:00 a.m. Rehearsal at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

 

Sunday School: Sundays during the 10:00 service on Sunday in the undercroft, with the Godly Play lessons.

Feast of the Epiphany: Tuesday, January 6 at 6:00 p.m., Evensong at St. John in Southwest Harbor. Rehearsal at 5:30 p.m. on the 6^th.

 

Annual Meeting: Sunday, January 18 at 11:15 a.m. following the service. Reports are due in the office by January 8^th. Call Joan (244-3227) if you would be willing to coordinate lunch.

 

Office hours: December 30, January 5, 6, 8 - 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

 

Sunday Forums will begin January 11^th at 9:00 a.m. in the Undercroft. January 11: Pamela VanWechel, Personal Mission: A Place to Invest Time, Talent, and Money; January 18: Linda Robinson, Reflections on Humanitarian Mission to the Congo; January 25: Joe Wright, The Work We Have Been Given to Do; February 1: Bill Baker, If Christ Came to the Super Bowl; February 8: George Swanson, As You Did It to the Least of These: Prison Matters.

 

The 2009 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity service will be held Sunday, January 18^th, 4:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Manset.

Christmas Eve Service: Family Service at 5:00 p.m.

Lectionary readings for December 24^th: Psalm 96; Isaiah 9:2-7; Titus 2:11-14; Luke 2:1-20.

 

Christmas Day Service: Holy Communion at 10:00 a.m.

Lectionary readings for December 25^th: Psalm 97; Isaiah 62:6-12; Titus 3:4-7; Luke 2:1-20.

 

Sunday Services, December 28^th: Christmas 1, 10:00 a.m. Lessons and Carols at St. John’s in Southwest Harbor.

Lectionary Readings for December 28^th: Genesis 2:4b-9, 15-25; Genesis 22: 15-18; Isaiah 9: 2; 6-7; Isaiah 11: 1-3a; 4a; 6-9; Luke 1: 26-35; 38; Luke 2: 1; 3; Luke 2: 8-16; Matthew 2: 1-12; John: 1: 1-14.

 

The Christmas Offering will be given to the Emmaus Center.
